2008 Improvements

Developmental Teams
This year, our 9 and 10 year old teams will be treated as developmental teams.  These teams will travel to 4 tournaments and will have a main focus on fundamental development in practices. They will operate on a different fee schedule from the older teams. 

Different Teams, Different Schedules
Each team will be treated differently this year.  Last year we tried to mold every team into 2 practices per week and 6 tournaments per season.  Depending on the talent and commitment level, teams will travel to different tournaments and possibly add some additional, more competitive tournaments to their schedule.

New Age Requirements
The National AAU Organization has changed its GIRLS age requirements for each age group. Every player must tryout for their appropriate age group regardless of the team they played on last year.  Hunterdon United’s goal is to make every team at every age group as competitive as possible; therefore we want to keep players at their correct age group.  Click HERE to re-calculate your son/daughter's age group.

Coaching Staff  
Hunterdon United has worked hard in the off season to add high school level coaches to our coaching staff for 2008.  We have added 10 new coaches, all of which are excited to start the spring season.  5 of the 10 new coaches are currently coaching at the high school level and will bring an elevated level of experience and knowledge to our program.
