Exciting NEWS: United Boys AAU for Younger Players
United AAU has added three new boys teams for the 2012 season: 6th, 7th and 8th Grade. Darrien Pinkman, the new director for the boys program, has spent a lot of time in the off-season choosing his new staff and laying out a model program for success. Batella, Fleck lead Lacey over Pinelands
Taylor Batella scored a game-high 15 points and Jenna Fleck added 10 points to lead the Lacey girls basketball team to 45-41 victory over Pinelands in a Class B South game on Monday.
Lacey (6-2, 4-0) won despite making just 15 of 37 free throws as three Pinelands players fouled out. The Lions held leads of 21-17 at halftime and 34-24 through three quarters before holding off the Wildcats in the fourth quarter. Jenna Dowd scored a team-high 10 points for Pinelands (5-4, 2-2).
